Scientific Conference Reports cover
1.Article types+
  • Conference abstracts

  • Workshop abstracts

  • Reports from workshops and symposia

  • Summaries of conferences, workshops, and symposia

2.Writing and formatting+

File format
Event organizers should submit all abstracts as an editable source file for the entire submission as a single-column Word document, using Times New Roman, 12 pt, single-spaced, with at least a 2 cm margin. Ensure all errors are minimized by utilizing spell-check and grammar-check tools.

3.Structure of the abstract book+

1. Event information: Name of the conference or workshop, location, and date, as well as the program and list of speakers, if necessary.

2. Editorial: A one-page opening editorial written by the organizers or the chairman about the event, including the event type, aims and objectives, main focus, concluding remark, and outlook.

3. Abstracts: All abstracts in one document, each on one page. The structure of each abstract is as follows:

  • Abstract title: Article titles should be concise and informative. Please avoid abbreviations and formulas unless they are established and widely understood, e.g., PCR.

  • Author names: Provide the first name(s) and family name(s) of each author in full, and the abbreviations for the middle names. Carefully check that all names are spelled accurately.

  • Affiliations: Provide the authors' affiliations (where the work was done) below the names. Include only the department, institute and/or university, city, and country. No additional information is required. Indicate all affiliations with a lowercase superscript number immediately after each author's name.

  • Corresponding author: Clearly specify who will manage correspondence for your abstract throughout all stages of the review and publication process, including after publication.

  • Abstract body: The abstract should be a single paragraph of no more than 300 words, following a structured format without headings. It should include a background section that broadly states the question and highlights the study's purpose; a brief description of the materials and methods; a summary of the main findings; and the conclusions. It must objectively represent the article, avoid unsubstantiated results, and not exaggerate conclusions.

  • Keywords: 4-6 keywords should be added after the abstract, arranged alphabetically, separated by commas, and with the first letter capitalized.

4.Summaries and conclusions of conferences, workshops, and symposia+

This type of article offers succinct scholarly summaries of scientific conferences, workshops, symposia, and related academic meetings in the natural sciences. Contributions provide structured overviews of the event’s scientific scope, main themes, key findings, and principal conclusions, offering readers an authoritative snapshot of current developments and emerging research trends.
When a summary is published as a standalone article (i.e., not as part of an accompanying abstract book), authors must include an abstract of no more than 150 words.
The main body of the summary should not exceed 1,200 words and may be organized with subtitles or section headings, at the authors’ discretion, to enhance clarity and readability.

5.Article Processing Charges (APC)+

This journal is fully open access. All abstract books and summaries are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reuse, provided the original authors are properly credited.

A one-time Article Processing Charge (APC) of €2,300 applies to the accepted abstract book, which includes the publication of all conference abstracts collectively. This fee covers the full range of publishing services, including peer-review management, editorial handling, professional production, online hosting, dissemination, and long-term accessibility.

If, for any reason, the conference does not proceed with publishing the complete abstract book in the journal, participants will still have the opportunity to publish their individual abstracts separately at a reduced cost of €250 per abstract.

This structure ensures flexibility for participants while maintaining high publishing standards and broad visibility for the conference contributions.

To ensure that the ability to pay does not constitute a barrier to publication, full or partial Article Processing Charge (APC) waivers are available for eligible events. Waivers may be granted to conferences, workshops, and symposia that are unable to cover publication fees, including events organized in low- and middle-income countries and those conducted without external sponsorship or participant registration fees.

For waiver requests, please submit the complete article and a formal request, stating the journal name and the reason for the waiver to waiver@infinity-ipc.org
